About “Les Mauvais Bergers”
Les Mauvais Bergers is a modern tragedy written by French journalist, novelist, and playwright Octave Mirbeau. It was performed in December 1897 at the Théâtre de la Renaissance in Paris and published in March 1898 by Charpentier-Fasquelle. The play features leading roles performed by two of the most renowned French actors of the time: Sarah Bernhardt as Madeleine and Lucien Guitry as Jean Roule.
