About “Libellus Gothorum”
The Chronicle of the Priest of Dioclea, also known as the Chronicle of Duklja or the Gesta regum Sclavorum, is a medieval chronicle written in two versions between 1295 and 1301 by an ecclesiastic from Duklja. The author was recently identified as Archbishop Rudger of Bar. The oldest preserved copy of the text is a Latin version from the 17th century. Modern historians have discussed the chronicle's date of composition and its authenticity. It is considered an anonymous medieval chronicle, with its origins and reliability still under scholarly debate. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
