About “Liber Peristephanon”
Aurelius Prudentius Clemens was a Roman Christian poet who lived during the 4th and 5th centuries. He was born in the Roman province of Tarraconensis in 348 and likely died in the Iberian Peninsula after 405, possibly around 413. The exact location of his birth remains uncertain, though it may have been one of three possible cities: Caesaraugusta, Tarraco, or Calagurris. Prudentius is known for his religious poetry, which reflects Christian themes and values. His works are among the most significant examples of early Christian literature in Latin.
