About “Mahaviracharita”
Mahaviracharita is a Sanskrit play written by Bhavabhuti in the 8th century. It is based on the early life of Rama, a central figure in the Ramayana and a revered Hindu deity. This play is Bhavabhuti's first work, and as such, it shows less developed character and style compared to his later plays, Malatimadhava and Uttararamacharita.
