About “Mamotte Shugogetten”
Mamotte Shugogetten is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Minene Sakurano. It was serialized in the monthly magazine Shōnen GanGan from 1996 to 2000. A follow-up series, Mamotte Shugogetten! Retrouvailles, was published in Comic Blade from 2002 to 2005. The manga was adapted into an anime television series produced by Toei Animation, titled Moon Guardian in English and Shugogetten! in Japanese. The anime aired for 22 episodes from 1998 to 1999.
