About “Manimekalai”
Maṇimēkalai, also spelled Manimekhalai, is a Tamil Buddhist epic composed by Kulavāṇikaṉ Seethalai Sataṉar, probably between the 2nd and 6th century. It is an "anti-love story" and sequel to the "love story" in the earliest Tamil epic Cilappatikaram, sharing some characters and their next generation.
