Mizuiro Jidai is a Japanese manga series that was serialized in 1991 in the shōjo manga magazine Ciao by Shogakukan. An anime adaptation consisting of 47 episodes was produced by NAS and TV Tokyo, with animation by Studio Comet. The anime aired on TV Tokyo from 1996 to 1997. A continuation of the story titled Shin Mizuiro Jidai was published in Ciao during the anime's run. The series was later adapted into a musical in 2001, with a cast recording released afterward.
