About “Mosquitoes”
Mosquitoes is a satiric novel by American author William Faulkner. It was first published in 1927 by Boni & Liveright, a New York-based publishing house, and is Faulkner’s second novel. The exact location where Faulkner wrote the book is unclear, as sources differ between his time in Paris beginning in 1925 and his stay in Pascagoula, Mississippi, during the summer of 1926. The novel reflects Faulkner’s experiences within the New Orleans creative community, where he spent time before moving to France. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
