About “Moyashimon”
Moyasimon: Tales of Agriculture, known as Moyashimon in Japan, is a manga series created by Masayuki Ishikawa. It was first serialized in Evening, a seinen manga magazine by Kodansha, from July 2004 to June 2013. It later moved to Monthly Morning Two, where it ended in January 2014. The story centers on Tadayasu Sawaki, a first-year college student at an agricultural university who can see and talk to microorganisms. Del Rey Manga obtained the license but only released two volumes in English. The series was adapted into an 11-episode anime that aired from October to December 2007. A live-action version also ran for 11 episodes from July to September 2010. A second animated season titled Moyasimon Returns was broadcast from July to September 2012.
