About “Mr. Arashi's Amazing Freak Show”
Shōjo Tsubaki is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Suehiro Maruo. It was serialized in the seinen magazine Garo from August 1983 to July 1984 and later released as a single volume in September 1984 by Seirindō. The story is an ero guro reimagining of Naniwa Seiun's eponymous kamishibai from the Shōwa period. It follows a young flower seller named Midori who is deceived into working for an abusive freak show. The narrative draws from the stock protagonist of kamishibai and its adaptations.
