Mysterious Girlfriend X is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Riichi Ueshiba. It was first published as a one-shot in August 2004 and later serialized in Monthly Afternoon, a seinen manga magazine, from March 2006 to September 2014. The series was collected into 12 tankōbon volumes and licensed in North America by Vertical. The story follows Akira Tsubaki, a boy who knows little about girls, and Mikoto Urabe, a transfer student who appears cold but hides a mysterious nature. Their first meeting takes a romantic turn.
