About “Na Hanyate”
Na Hanyate is a 1974 Bengali novel written by Maitreyi Devi, an Indian poet and novelist who was a protégée of Rabindranath Tagore. The novel earned her the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1976. It was written in response to Mircea Eliade's book La Nuit Bengali, which presented a fictionalized account of their relationship during Eliade's visit to India.
