Rebecca Cullen, a twenty-four-year-old woman managing her family's Georgia farm and caring for her two teenage brothers and retired grandfather, faces personal and emotional challenges when her brother Clay is arrested on drug charges. The district attorney assigned to the case, Rourke Kilpatrick, is initially perceived as arrogant and hardline, but as he becomes sympathetic to Rebecca and her family, a romantic tension develops between them, forcing Rebecca to question whether his feelings for her are genuine or merely a tactic in his pursuit of a drug dealer.
