Niji-iro Tōgarashi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Mitsuru Adachi. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday, a shōnen manga magazine published by Shogakukan, from January 1990 to April 1992. The series was later collected into 11 tankōbon volumes. The story takes place in a setting that resembles Earth during the Edo period, but the author consistently reminds readers that the setting is actually another planet in the distant future.
