About “Niourk”
Niourk, a 1957 novel by Stefan Wul (author of Fantastic Planet), is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth where mankind has regressed to primitive tribes hunting and foraging for a meager, oppressed existence. A lone black child, shunned by his tribe, sets out on a journey to the ruins of New York, once known as the land of the gods.
