About “Nuremberg chronicle”
The Nuremberg Chronicle is a biblical encyclopedia published in 1493 by German historian Hartmann Schedel. Written in Latin, it includes historical accounts of the world and biblical stories, presented through a combination of text and illustrations. The book also features descriptions of important Christian and secular cities, as well as mythological creatures. A German translation was later completed by Georg Alt. It is considered one of the earliest printed books to successfully combine text with illustrations and is recognized as an important early example of printed literature.
