About “Ogre Slayer”
Ogre Slayer is a Japanese manga series created and illustrated by Kei Kusunoki. It was published in Shōnen Sunday Zōkan from 1992 to 2001, with 20 tankōbon volumes released. The series was adapted into a four-episode OVA between 1994 and 1995. Viz Media distributed both the manga and anime in North America, though only two manga volumes were released. A follow-up series, The Legend of Onikirimaru, was serialized from August 2013 to March 2025. It is set during the Sengoku era and features a different main character.
