About “On Nature”
Epicurus was an ancient Greek philosopher who founded the philosophical school of Epicureanism. This school taught that managing one's desires, removing unnecessary fears, fostering friendship, and living a virtuous life led to a pleasant life and constant happiness. The highest good, according to Epicureanism, was achieving this state of happiness. The philosophy was developed and recorded in writings attributed to Epicurus.
