About “Paigallend”
Treading Air (Paigallend) is Jaan Kross' thirteenth novel, published in 1998. It tells the story of the generation of Estonians with which Kross grew up, continuing the theme of Estonia's unhealed historical wounds found in his short stories and in novels such as Wikmani poisid, Mesmeri ring, and Väljakaevamised.
