About “Parasyte”
Parasyte is a Japanese science fiction horror manga series written and illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki. It was first published in Kodansha's seinen manga magazines Morning Open Zōkan in 1989 and Monthly Afternoon. The series was later released in North America by Tokyopop, then Del Rey, and finally Kodansha USA. The story follows Shinichi Izumi, a high school senior who survives a parasitic attack when a creature infects his arm instead of his brain.
