About “Photograph 51”
Photograph 51 is a one-act play written by Anna Ziegler. It premiered in the West End of London in September 2015. The play highlights the contributions of Rosalind Franklin, an X-ray crystallographer, to the discovery of the DNA double helix structure. Franklin worked at King's College London, where she took an X-ray diffraction image known as Photo 51, taken by Raymond Gosling in May 1952.
