About “Ports of Call”
A Jewish woman and a Muslim man meet in World War II France while working in the Resistance. After the war, they marry and return to the Middle East, but they are separated by the Arab-Israeli War. The story is told by a Lebanese writer, who also wrote Rock of Tanios. The novel was published in 1996.
