Purge is a novel by Finnish-Estonian writer Sofi Oksanen. It was her third novel written in Finnish and was published in 2008. The story was based on her original play of the same name, which was performed at the Finnish National Theatre in 2007. As of 2010, it was the only one of Oksanen's novels translated into English. The novel follows two women who face their dark pasts, exploring themes of collusion and resistance, rape, and sexual slavery during the Soviet occupation of Estonia.
