About “Robotan”
Robotan is a Japanese anime and manga series created by Kenji Morita. The story follows a household robot named Robotan, who was built by a boy and lives with his family as a domestic helper and a friend to the children. Robotan's attempts to help often lead to funny situations. The original series was produced by Daiko Advertising. A color remake titled New Robotan was released in 1986 to celebrate the 20th anniversary. This version was produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha and directed by Masaharu Okuwaki.
