About “Rough”
Rough is a manga series created by Mitsuru Adachi. It was originally published by Shogakukan in the Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine from 1987 to 1989. The series was later compiled into 12 tankōbon volumes. Rough was adapted into a live action film in 2006, which was released in Japan by Toho. The story focuses on themes of sports and personal growth, typical of Adachi's work. The film version brought the manga's characters and narrative to a broader audience.
