About “Running Out of Time”
Jessie lives in the frontier village of Clifton, Indiana, in 1840, believing it to be the real past. When diphtheria spreads and children begin to die, her mother reveals that Clifton is actually a reconstructed tourist site set in 1996, and Jessie must travel beyond the village to bring back medical help before more lives are lost.
