A beautiful, grief-stricken woman has disappeared, and so has the detective hired to find her, along with a large sum of money. Private investigators Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro take the case. Based in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, they are experienced and resilient. This case, however, leads them into a dangerous and corrupt environment where trust is impossible and danger is constant. They face a world of lies where one wrong move could be fatal.
