About “Sartoris”

Returning home to Jefferson, Mississippi, after the First World War, young Bayard Sartoris mourns the death of his twin brother, John. Sartoris is a story about a declining family dealing with the effects of war, exploring themes of social class and family life in the post-war American South. The novel was written by William Faulkner.
