About “Save Me the Waltz”
Save Me the Waltz is a 1932 novel by Zelda Fitzgerald. The story follows Alabama Beggs, a Southern woman who grows up in the Deep South during the Jim Crow era and marries David Knight, an aspiring painter. After a life of indulgence during the Jazz Age, an older Alabama dreams of becoming a prima ballerina but is prevented by an infected blister that leads to blood poisoning.
