About “Seder Olam Zutta”
Seder Olam Zutta is an anonymous chronicle, a Midrash written during the Geonim rabbinic period, dating from 803 CE, called "Zuta" to distinguish it from the older Seder Olam Rabbah. It builds on and to some extent completes and continues that earlier chronicle, consisting of two parts: about three-fifths covering the chronology of 50 generations from Adam to Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the remainder covering 39 generations of exilarchs from Jehoiachin to the 9th century CE.
