Seven Pillars of Wisdom is the autobiography of British soldier T. E. Lawrence, who became known as Lawrence of Arabia. It details his role during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire from 1916 to 1918, when he served as a military advisor to Bedouin forces. The book was completed in 1922 but first published in 1926, originally for the U.S. market as Revolt in the Desert. A longer version was published in 1935. The book provides a firsthand account of the Arab Revolt, including military operations, secret activities, and interactions with key figures such as Feisal ibn Hussein and General Edmund Allenby.
