About “Shizi”

The Shizi is a Chinese philosophical text written by Shi Jiao around 330 BCE. It belongs to the Zajia school, which integrated ideas from multiple philosophical traditions, including Confucianism, Daoism, Mohism, and Legalism. The text was divided into twenty sections and was widely known during the Han dynasty. It remained influential until the Song dynasty, when all copies were lost. The Shizi is considered one of the earliest examples of syncretic philosophy in China. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
