About “Shoot!”
Shoot! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tsukasa Ōshima. It was published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1990 to 2003. The story follows Toshihiko Tanaka, a boy who starts at Kakegawa High School to play association football with his idol, Yoshiharu Kubo. Initially, Toshi's friends are not interested in football, but he convinces them to join the team. As the team grows, they prepare to compete in the All-Japan High School Championship.
