Íslendingabók is a historical work that covers early Icelandic history. It was written by Ari Þorgilsson, an Icelandic priest, in the early 12th century. The text originally existed in two versions, but only the younger one remains today. The older version included information about Norwegian kings, which later influenced the writing of kings' sagas.
