Newswoman Britt Shelley wakes up to find herself in bed with Jay Burgess, a detective in the Charleston PD, and remembers nothing of how she got there or of his death. Raley Gannon, a firefighter and Jay's friend, becomes involved in the investigation into Jay's death after learning of Britt's claim of amnesia, uncovering connections to the fire that destroyed Charleston's police headquarters five years earlier and the unresolved questions surrounding it.
