Song of Ariran is a reportage book written by American journalist Helen Foster Snow under the pseudonym Nym Wales. The work focuses on the Korean independence movement and the Chinese Communist movement in the 1930s. Snow traveled to Yan'an, the wartime capital of the Chinese Communist Party, where she conducted extensive interviews with a Korean communist, Jang Jirak, known as Kim San in the book. The book provides personal and detailed accounts of the struggles for Korean independence from Japan and the role of Koreans within the Chinese Communist movement.
