About “Strategemata”
Strategemata, or Stratagems, is a Latin work by the Roman author Frontinus. It contains a collection of military stratagems from Greek and Roman history, intended as examples for generals. The work was likely written toward the end of the first century AD. Frontinus may have composed it in connection with a lost military theory text. The book provides historical examples of tactical and strategic maneuvers used in warfare. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
