About “Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas”
Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas is a historical work written by Antonio de Morga, one of the most significant sources on the early Spanish colonization of the Philippines. Published in 1609 in two volumes by Casa de Geronymo Balli in Mexico City, the book was written after Morga was reassigned to Mexico. The first English translation appeared in London in 1868, followed by another translation by Blair and Robertson in Cleveland in 1907. The work provides important insights into the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
