Telegraph Avenue follows the intertwined lives of two couples—Archy Stallings and Nat Jaffe, who run Brokeland Records, and their wives, Gwen Shanks and Aviva Roth-Jaffe, who are nurse midwives—during the summer of 2004 in Berkeley.
