About “Testament”
Testament, also known by its first line "When I Die, Bury Me...", is a poem by Taras Shevchenko written on 25 December 1845 in Pereyaslav. It was later included in his Three Summers poetry collection. The poem belongs to the genre of poetical testament and includes elements of a hymn.
