Since 1943, hundreds of planes and ships, along with thousands of people, have vanished in the region. One notable case is a squadron of five airplanes that went missing, and a ship that was found empty with no sign of its crew. Charles Berlitz investigated these incidents and spoke to people who claim to have escaped the area's dangers. He presents possible explanations, including UFOs, space-time warps from ancient civilizations, and connections to the lost continent of Atlantis. No clear, more plausible explanations have been found.
