About “The Call of the Wild”

The Call of the Wild is an adventure novel by Jack London, published in 1903. It is set in Yukon, Canada, during the 1890s Klondike Gold Rush. The story follows a dog named Buck, who is stolen from his home in Santa Clara Valley, California, and sold as a sled dog in Alaska. In the harsh environment, Buck learns to fight for survival and eventually becomes dominant over other dogs. As the story progresses, he sheds the traits of domestication and embraces his primal instincts. By the end, he becomes a leader in the wild, guided by instinct and experience.
