About “The Confession”

In 1998, Travis Boyette kidnapped, raped, and killed a high school cheerleader in Sloan, Texas, then buried her body. He watched as Donté Drumm, a local football star, was wrongly convicted and sent to death row. Nine years later, Travis is paroled in Kansas after serving time for another crime. He now has an inoperable brain tumor and decides to confess. He wants to save Donté, who is four days from execution. But convincing others that an innocent man is about to be killed proves difficult. Travis must find a way to make people believe him before it is too late. The story is based on a novel by John Grisham.
