Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor of religious symbology, is in Paris to give a lecture and meet a curator from the Louvre who never arrives. The curator is later found murdered inside the museum alongside baffling codes, and Langdon becomes the primary suspect. With cryptologist Sophie Neveu, he flees to decipher a trail of clues before an ancient truth is lost forever.
