About “The Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu”
The Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu is a political satire written by French attorney Maurice Joly. It was created as a protest against the regime of Napoleon III, who ruled France from 1848 to 1870. The work was translated into English in 2002. Some parts were translated in 1967 as an appendix to Warrant for Genocide by Norman Cohn. This book identifies The Dialogue as the main source of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, although The Dialogue itself does not mention Jews. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
