About “The end of work”
Jeremy Rifkin argues that history is entering a new phase marked by the decline of jobs due to automation. He describes a growing divide between an information elite controlling the high-tech global economy and a large group of displaced workers with limited employment opportunities. Rifkin suggests that the end of work could lead to the collapse of current civilization or the start of a major social transformation and a renewal of human potential.
