The Eternal Zero is a 2006 novel by Naoki Hyakuta that became a best-seller, with four million copies sold. It was adapted into a popular 2013 movie. The novel drew criticism from Hayao Miyazaki, a renowned Studio Ghibli director, who called it "a pack of lies" about the war.
