About “The Fifth Head Of Cerberus”

A 1972 novel by Gene Wolfe, composed of three novellas, explores two sister planets, Sainte-Anne and Sainte-Croix, settled by French colonists. The colonists destroyed the native population of Sainte-Croix. Decades later, after the colonists were defeated and scattered, an ethnologist dedicates his life to finding evidence of the lost culture.
