About “The Fog”
Christina moves from her island home to a school on the mainland of Maine, where the principal, Mr. Shevvington, and his wife, Mrs. Shevvington, appear to offer a stable and welcoming environment. As Christina begins to experience psychological distress and loses her sense of self, she becomes convinced that the Shevvingtons are responsible for her deteriorating mental state, particularly after they accuse her of being disturbed.
