About “The Good Bargain”
"The Good Bargain" is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm, numbered KHM 7. It was included in the second edition of Kinder- und Hausmärchen in 1819. The story is of Aarne–Thompson type 1642 and contains antisemitic elements. A similar tale with antisemitic themes, "The Jew Among Thorns," was also collected by the Brothers Grimm.
